What Is the Danny Reagan Spin-Off
A Danny Reagan spin-off would center on the character from the long-running CBS procedural Blue Bloods. The series follows NYPD detective Danny Reagan, played by Donnie Wahlberg, as he balances family loyalty with police work in New York City.
Origin and Development
The idea emerged from the success of the original show, which ran from 2010 to 2024. Reports indicate early discussions focused on a limited series or event-style project exploring Danny’s cases beyond the Reagan family structure. As of now, no official series order has been announced.
Status and Future Outlook
While no formal greenlight has been confirmed, industry sources suggest continued interest from networks and streamers in expanding the Blue Bloods universe. Any spin-off would likely retain the procedural crime format and New York setting that defined the original series.
