Current Number of Female NASCAR Drivers
NASCAR does not publish a single official count of female drivers across all series. In recent full seasons, the number of women racing in the top national touring series has typically ranged from a handful to around a dozen, depending on the year and level. The count varies by series, with more women competing in the Xfinity and Truck Series than in the Cup Series.
Where Female Drivers Compete
Women have raced in the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Truck Series, as well as regional and touring events. Some compete full time, while others participate part time or in select races. The presence of female drivers has grown as opportunities in development programs and lower tiers have expanded.
Notable Female Drivers and Recent Trends
Drivers such as Hailie Deegan, Erin Crocker, and others have appeared in national NASCAR events. In recent years, more women have moved through the ranks, with several making starts in the Cup Series and earning regular rides.
