Is 21 Savage Signed to OVO Sound
21 Savage is not signed to OVO Sound as a recording artist under a standard label deal. He remains primarily associated with Epic Records and his own label Slaughter Gang. OVO Sound is the Toronto-based record label founded by Drake and Noah "40" Shebib, and it operates as a joint venture with Warner Music Group. Publicly available information does not list 21 Savage as a current OVO signee according to industry reports.
The OVO Sound roster has historically included Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Majid Jordan, and later additions such as Safe and Baka Not Nice. 21 Savage does not appear on the official OVO roster in current public filings or label press materials. His primary distribution and recording contracts are with Epic Records and Slaughter Gang Entertainment, which handle his solo projects and collaborations outside of OVO.
21 Savage's Current Label and Distribution Deals
21 Savage's current label home is Epic Records in the United States, where he has released major projects including collaborative albums and solo efforts. His imprint Slaughter Gang Entertainment operates alongside Epic, managing his releases and artist partnerships. The label structure allows him to maintain creative control while accessing major label distribution and promotion.
His deals are separate from OVO Sound's Warner Music Group partnership. While OVO has a distribution and co-signing relationship with Warner, 21 Savage's contracts are with Sony Music through Epic Records. This distinction is important for understanding his independent commercial positioning within the hip hop industry as reflected in public music company filings.
OVO Sound Label Structure and Current Artists
OVO Sound functions as a joint venture label under Warner Music Group, focusing on hip hop, R&B, and pop crossovers. The label's core team includes Drake, Noah "40" Shebib, and Oliver El-Khatib, who oversee A&R, production, and strategic direction. OVO has expanded its reach through playlist curation, festival branding, and international distribution partnerships.
Current OVO-affiliated artists include Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Majid Jordan, Safe, and Baka Not Nice, among others. 21 Savage is not part of this roster, and his business relationships are structured around Epic Records and Slaughter Gang. Any appearance of his music on OVO playlists or compilations reflects editorial or promotional choices rather than a contractual label affiliation as noted by music industry analysts.
