How NBA Earnings Are Measured
Career earnings include all guaranteed salary, incentives, and likely incentives across NBA contracts. They do not include endorsements or business income. Figures are based on reported salary data and contract breakdowns from sources like Spotrac.
Top Ten Highest Paid NBA Players of All Time
LeBron James tops the list with the highest career NBA earnings, followed by Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan. Other names include Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin, Damian Lillard, Zion Williamson, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Their large contracts reflect max deals, supermax extensions, and long-term guarantees.
Why These Players Earn So Much
Max contracts, All-NBA selections, MVP awards, and sustained performance drive the largest salaries. Teams also pay significant luxury tax and use taxpayer mid-level exceptions to retain stars.
