Current Ownership of Cabo Wabo Cantina
Cabo Wabo Cantina is currently owned by Cabo Wabo Cantina, LLC, the operating entity tied to its founder. The restaurant and nightlife venue is located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and remains a prominent local destination for tourists and visitors.
Founder and Original Owner
The cantina was founded by American musician Sammy Hagar, best known for his work with Van Halen and his solo career. Hagar opened the original Cabo Wabo Cantina in 1990, and the venue became closely associated with his personal brand and music history.
Background on the Cabo Wabo Brand
Beyond the restaurant, the Cabo Wabo name has expanded into tequila and merchandise. While the business has evolved over the years, the original cantina in Cabo San Lucas continues to operate under the same core ownership structure linked to Sammy Hagar.
