Who Played James Marsden in Jury Duty
In the unscripted series Jury Duty, the character named James Marsden is portrayed by actor Miles Robbins. The show uses a fictionalized version of the name as part of its premise, with Robbins playing a man who appears to be an exaggerated, self-absorbed version of the actor James Marsden.
Role and Character Overview
Robbins' performance leans into satire, highlighting how a participant might treat jury duty as a platform for attention. The character is written to contrast with the more sincere jurors, creating comedic tension while the trial unfolds around him.
Why This Casting Stands Out
Casting Miles Robbins as James Marsden adds a meta layer to the show, since Robbins is known for roles in horror and comedy. The choice helps the series explore themes of celebrity, perception, and reality TV tropes within a mock trial setting.
